Finding the card was not too bad as I new I had a piece of pearly Peach somewhere. The rest of the items were difficult and the design took a bit of working out. I thought the colours certainly lent themselves to Anniversary or Wedding cards and this is the card I eventually made.Monday, 7 June 2010
With Love card
This week at the Playdatecafe http://theplaydatecafe.blogspot.com/ the challenge is Lemon, Pale Peach and Peach and is sponsored by Limelight paper crafts. The picture below is showing the colours for inspiration and oh boy! did I need inspiration. These are colours I use very rarely and certainly not together. I had to really search through every drawer and box of my craft stash to find enough to make my entry.

I had to use chalks and some inks to get the colours I wanted and after a few tries I managed to get the effect I wanted. The die cuts I made using my cricut . I stamped the Bird using two different colours of ink together to get the right colour. I know it looks quite a simple card to make but it seemed to take forever with all the prep.

Lovely wedding card, wonderful choice of embellishments.

ReplyDeleteYou may have had trouble with the design and colour combo but it certainly doesn't show - your card is just so gorgeous!
