Friends/April showers

 I was so pleased to be asked to be a guest designer at  Allsorts http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/  for their Springtime challenge. Pop over and take a look at all the lovely designer cards and get lots of inspiration.  I just love this cute Penny Black stamp and it is perfect for a card to celebrate the coming of Spring. This cute couple of friends under the umbrella always bring a smile to my face. I used a mixture of Promarkers and Aquamarkers to get the exact colours I wanted and they match my backing paper perfectly. I also managed to match the lovely yellow dress colour to my scalloped circle. I am really pleased how this card turned out and it is bursting with spring colours. I added a few butterflies in keeping with the Spring theme. The little swirls between the pearl buttons were pieces I cut from an old  piece of edging I found while cleaning out my craft stash. The Pearl buttons with the little raised borders are one of my favourite embellishments. They seem to work with almost any card.
