I was so pleased to be asked to be a guest designer at Allsorts http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/ for their Springtime challenge. Pop over and take a look at all the lovely designer cards and get lots of inspiration. You have plenty of time to enter this fun challenge. It is sponsored by Sir Stampalot who are offering a set of gorgeous hero arts stamps for the prize.

I just love this cute Penny Black stamp and it is perfect for a card to celebrate the coming of Spring. This cute couple of friends under the umbrella always bring a smile to my face. I used a mixture of Promarkers and Aquamarkers to get the exact colours I wanted and they match my backing paper perfectly. I also managed to match the lovely yellow dress colour to my scalloped circle. I am really pleased how this card turned out and it is bursting with spring colours. I added a few butterflies in keeping with the Spring theme. The little swirls between the pearl buttons were pieces I cut from an old piece of edging I found while cleaning out my craft stash. The Pearl buttons with the little raised borders are one of my favourite embellishments. They seem to work with almost any card.
