A mid month reminder for the Penny Black and More colour board challenge. You can use the colours or the photo for inspiration.
On my card I used the colours and poppies for my inspiration. I won't bother you with details of how I made it as I am sure you can see you can see what I used.
There is still plenty of time to enter the challenge and prizes are up for grabs as usual. Pop over to the blog using the link above where you will find rules for the challenge and a list of sponsors and prizes for this month.

PB Flowers all around

The Penny Black and More May challenge is for colour inspiration using the board shown above. There are some great prizes up for grabs this month from sponsors  Penny Black, Crafts U love and Sizzix. You don't have to use every colour just use the board for inspiration when you make your card.
I used a recently purchased Penny Black stamp called Flowers all around on my card. I stamped and water coloured the image. I also added a few hi lites with promarkers to give extra depth to the flowers. I managed to cut around it very carefully as I wanted to layer it up on my card. I matted and layered deep pink card and designer papers then  adhered the image with foam pads. I added a bow and pearls to finish off.
I have entered my card into the challenges listed below.

PB Scented Beauty

                              PB 40-428 Scented Beauty

It's the 18th of the month and time for mid month inspiration for the Spring challenge at Penny Black and More.

I wanted to create a trellis type card with early spring roses. Thinking I had a trellis die I could use and one of my newer stamps called Scented beauty I made a deep pink card layer and green DT for the background.  I added the die cut and pink pearls to my card. My stamped image was water colour with shades of pinks and greens I had mixed ready. I added a few touches with a pink ink pen before adding it to my card with foam pads. A die cut banner with a stamped sentiment was added to the bottom to finish off the card.
If you would like to enter the challenge follow the link above where you will find the rules and lots of inspiration from the Penny Black and More team.

PB Poppy Gem

Using Penny Black Poppy Gem

It's time for another Penny Black and More challenge and the theme for April is Spring.
There are some beautiful flower stamps around at the moment and I decided to use  a brand new Flower stamp in my collection called Poppy Gem. I water coloured the flowers in a Lilac shade to make the card more Spring like. I added a nice spring green DP behind the flowers and a sheer bow and sentiment finished it off nicely.

Scented Beauty

Using Penny Black Scented Beauty 40-428

This is my March mid month  inspiration card for Penny Black and More.   I used a new stamp added to my collection background)n called Scented beauty, I bought the Rose stamp because I thought it would be useful for all occasion cards. I intended making an elegant card and was pleased how it turned out. The lattice background die cut is from Spellbinders and  I water coloured the Rose image. A small sentiment finished it off perfectly.
If you would like to enter a card or project for the March Anything goes challenge at Penny Black and More pop over to the blog using the link above. Pink Floral

Using Penny Black 40-276 Botanical Notes

For this card I kept the background pretty simple as I was happy to let the lovely PB stamped image do it's job as the focal point. I love water colouring my flower images and this is another favourite of mine. I used a die cut edge, pearls and a sheer bow to finish off the card and I was happy with the end result.

Penny Black Floral

The challenge at Penny Black and More for February is "Use your favourite stamp". I have so many I can call my favourite so I chose to a new stamp which is called "Freshly cut". I  was excited when I found this PB stamp as the Chrysanthemum is one of my favourite flowers. As it grows from the first tight bud the petals uncurl showing different hues of it's colour. Every day the hues change as it uncurls a bit more but still has that tight bud centre until it dies.
It made a nice crisp image but a little bit more difficult to water colour due to the tightness of the petals. I mixed a pink colour in my palette until it was as near as I could get to the pink in my background paper. After adding my designer paper to my card I added white and blue matts to the back of my image. To finish I added cupped sequins and a white organza bow.
The Penny Black challenge runs for the whole month of February.  I am sure you all have favourite stamps in your stash so why not enter the challenge and also have the chance to win one of several prizes up for grabs this month. The sponsors are:-

A quick note

I needed a modern card for a young lady and the PB stamp I used is called "Words So Sweet" no. 4256K. There are still some people who like to use "snail mail" and this image is perfect for those who do.
I chose black and grey shades for matting and layering and left the image uncoloured. I added the background die cut doily and tabs for interest behind the image. I finished my card off with some black diamontes and a die cut rosette.

A quick reminder that the Penny Black and More challenge for January is Anything goes. If you want to enter there is still plenty of time to do so. The sponsors for the month of January are Penny Black, Crafty Ribbons and Tattered lace. If you do wish to enter please read the rules carefully as you would not want to miss out on the chance to win a fabulous prize.

Quick and easy PB card

Happy New year to you all. It's the first Sunday of the month and the challenge at Penny Black and More for the month of January is Anything goes and this is my blog inspiration card.
I borrowed the lovely "Adornment" stamp from my friend Beryl and it stamped beautifully.
Being the slowest crafter on earth my New Year resolution is to make some simpler cas cards.
I  purposely picked a very small card so I could not get much on it. Lol. How hard could it be? I matted and layered my card, added die cut floral edges, aglued on the stamped image and finished it off with a mini bow and  diamontes. Done. I had to quickly photograph it before my fingers itched to put more on.

Flower Basket

Using Penny Black Merci Bouquet 40-063

The challenge at Penny Black and More this month is Black and White + 1 other colour. For my card I used one of my favourite PB stamps, some designer paper and black card for the background and matting. I cut two scraps of black card and cut notches in the ends to make the little banners for the top of my card. I added three black gems to the bottom so my card would not look top heavy and finished it off by adding diamonte centered mini flowers in shades of pink to the basket and the ends of the banners. The gorgeous very sparkly flowers do not show up unless you zoom in.
