Penny Black Summer fun card

A few weeks ago I bought a new Penny Black stamp and have only just got around to using it. I love this cute girly image. There were so many challenges this week for colourful and summery cards that I just had to use these gorgeous echo park papers. They are so pretty and I really enjoyed putting this card together to make a summer garden scene. Lots of layers and I pricked around the edges as this is one of my favourite techniques. I wanted to make one of those whirly things that whiz round when the wind blows so I put the 3 flowers close together and added a stripy stick to get the effect. For a change I used my pastel pencils on my image, that have not seen the light of day for several years. Yes, YEARS. I didn't blend or shade with them. I just went straight in and laid lots of thick colour on to match my papers. I wanted the colouring to look "childlike" to go with the image and it worked well. I left her face white as I had no shade in my pastel pencils that was pale enough. I think it looks ok. There are just tons of challenges I made this card for and they are all listed below. All you do is list the recipe you used ( you only need to actually use 1 item from a given list) I used the theme of Cheryl's card and the recipe I used is here:-
