I was fiddling with a square sheet of paper and for some reason remembered a game I played with my friends when I was young. I don't know the name but it consisted of a sheet of paper folder into 4 pockets. Numbers 1-4 were written on the top. When a person picked a number you had to put your thumb and forefinger of both hands into the the four pockets and push them backwards and forwards for the number chosen to reveal what was written inside. If anyone remembers this game please leave a comment.
Anyway it inspired me to make this sweetie holder. The picture above shows the 4 sweetie pockets where you would put your thumb and fingers. It is in fact shown from underneath. I covered a kebab stick with thin strips of DP and pushed in into the centre of a couple of flowers and down into the holder. I then added flowers on the top and centre of the stick. I suggest you use a glue gun if you have one. If not be prepared for the flowers will slide off the stick. I filled the pockets with pink and white sweeties. I think it would be great for a kiddies party or for Easter with little eggs inside.
I used Craftwork Cards papers and flowers and my sweetie holder is being featured today on the "Focus on you" post on the Craftwork Cards blog.
I have entered my project into a few challenges listed below.
