The challenge at
Penny Black and More for February is "Use your favourite stamp". I have so many I can call my favourite so I chose to a new stamp which is called "Freshly cut". I was excited when I found this PB stamp as the Chrysanthemum is one of my favourite flowers. As it grows from the first tight bud the petals uncurl showing different hues of it's colour. Every day the hues change as it uncurls a bit more but still has that tight bud centre until it dies.
It made a nice crisp image but a little bit more difficult to water colour due to the tightness of the petals. I mixed a pink colour in my palette until it was as near as I could get to the pink in my background paper. After adding my designer paper to my card I added white and blue matts to the back of my image. To finish I added cupped sequins and a white organza bow.
The Penny Black challenge runs for the whole month of February. I am sure you all have favourite stamps in your stash so why not enter the challenge and also have the chance to win one of several prizes up for grabs this month. The sponsors are:-
