Hi all
I am back from my holiday and can't wait to get back to crafting.
Just before I left I was delighted to hear from Christine who told me that my embossed card (seen in one of my previous posts) had been chosen for one of the top three in the kaboodle challenge.
http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.com/ is one of my favourite blogs and as a result of my card being in the top three the lovely Christine asked if I would like to be a guest designer for a forthcoming challenge. WOULD I!! Of cause I would. I was overjoyed and set about making my card for the Monochromatic challenge sponsored by
http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ This is the card I made but did not get a chance to load before I set of on my holiday.
I used a bag template but cut out the inner bag part to make a standing card. I glued the handles together at the top so I could make it stand and just added a few brads round the top edge for interest. I stamped this cute image by bugaboo three times on different colour co-ordinating papers so that I could paper piece the parts together. This turned out to be rather fiddly but I managed it in the end. After I had put it all together and mailed my card I realized I had forgotten to colour her face. It was to late to change it as my leaving day was fast approaching. perhaps no one noticed.
On my return I found out that my Butterfly card (previous post) came in the top three in the kaboodle Spring challenge and have been asked to be a guest designer once again. Check out the kaboodle blog for details of the next challenge and have a go yourself.
