Penny Black / kindness at Christmas
A little kindness and love go a long way at Christmas and as the saying goes "It is better to give than to receive". I surprised an old friend a few days ago and the smile and joy on her face I will treasure. My Christmas wish is that we don't forget to give that little extra, not just at Christmas but all year round.
The Penny Black image I used on this card is a huge favourite of mine for the simple reason it reminds me that giving at Christmas makes me feel good.
I wanted to make a Scandinavian type card and the colours I used worked perfectly for me. It was not difficult to make and it all came together pretty quickly. I used minimal colouring as the papers are very bold and I managed to find a couple of Promarkers as near to the colours in my designer paper as possible. I used deep red velvet ric rac and a tassel which I have had in my stash for literally years. Very minimalistic in embellishments due to the bold papers.
