Blue Christmas

For my Crealies project today I have made a Christmas card with
untraditional colours.
I die cut 2 triangles using using Crea-Lest-Lies dies no. 17, 2 flowers using the smallest die of Set of 3 no. 17 Flowers 11, several of the smallest round shapes from Partz dies no. 2 eyes and 3 of Decorette that no. 5 ( I cut these die cuts down to the little squares and used these sideways to make a border around the tree)
I cut freehand a small stem for the bottom of the tree. I added bows, small and large diamontes, a sentiment and a metal star brad.

Christmas Bag

Today I am sharing my Crealies project with you.
I found a pack of kraft bags in my local craft shop and though they would look great if they were decorated. So for my Crealies project I decided to give one of them a Shabby Vintage Christmas make over.
I used 3 brand new Crealies Dies. Decorette die no 6, Partz die no 2 and Double fun die no 15.
I distressed my papers and layered them on the bag first. I made and distressed a tag and added to the centre tucking the trellis effect die cuts just behind the tag on both sides. I die cut the flowers and distressed the petals. I added the leaves, ribbons, bows and bell to the bag and glued tiny gold beads to the centre of the flowers. I finished off by stamping a sentiment on the Double fun no. 15 die cut and added it and the mini spots from Partz die no. 2 to the bag.

Dashing through snow

I really enjoyed making my card. I just purchased a new Penny Black Stamp which is called "dashing through snow" and I couldn't wait to use her. I used a lovely shaped card with embossed stars at the bottom. I was going to leave the image uncoloured but in the end I decided to give it a Nordic look by  paper piecing it. I am really pleased with the result.
Now I need to remind you that the new Penny Black and More challenge for the month of October is " Get ahead for Christmas" and there are several craft prizes up for grabs. Sponsors for this month are Penny Black, FlonzCraft, Nicecrane and Marianne designs. Pop over to the Penny black and More blog for all the details of the challenge and to see the beautiful cards made by the design team.

Cup Cake

Today I am sharing my pretty cup cake with you all.  I love a bit of recycling and you may not believe that my Cup Cake started out as a Costa Coffee cup. Although it was time consuming it was so easy to make and don't you just love those colour tones together.
If you want to make one you will need one empty cardboard coffee cup, 1 polystyrene ball, 1 sheet of card, pearl ended pins, flowers and embellishments to decorate.
Here's what to do:-  Cut your cup down to the size to suit you. Secure your ball in the cup so that it stands out at the top. If it is a bit small fill your cup with scrunched paper first. I covered my ball with some tissue paper first in case there were any spaces between the flowers where the ball may show. Score a length of thin card (I used a 12" length and cut of the excess after I had scored and creased it) Concertina the scored card and glue to your cup. Use different sizes of  die cut flowers to cover the ball securing with  pins. Decorate to finish.

I used Crealies flower and butterfly dies

Autumnal PB

A mid month Autumnal card and a reminder that the Penny Black and More challenge is open until the end of this month. There are several craft prizes up for grabs so pop over to the blog for all the details.
For my card I used up some old stash. The white flowers and stamped image have been in my craft stash for so long it is a wonder they have not yellowed. Every time I tried to use the cute image it just did not seem to work but hey hothis time it has found it's place and I am pleased. As the background paper was quite fussy i used minimal colouring on my image.

I have entered my card into the challenges listed below.
